Zell am See (AUT), 10 January 2019 – A thrilling bonus, which at the same time helps a charitable organisation, awaits visitors of GP Ice Race at Austria’s Zell am See (19 and 20 January 2019). Hobby racers can book a seat on the grid of an event called Charity Ice Karting. For the entry fee of 500 Euro, they go head to head with professional race drivers and celebrities in specially prepared ice karts. Proceeds go to “Lebenshilfe” in Zell am See, a charitable institution which supports handicapped persons. Over the whole weekend fans can witness show runs and races with historic and modern race and rally cars as well as breathtaking Skijoring.
The initiators of GP Ice Race (19 and 20 January 2019), Ferdinand Porsche from Zell am See and Nuremberg born Vinzenz Greger (also co-founders of Greger Porsche Classic Cars, Wien), are not only looking forward to a thrilling competition. They are as well committed to charity. “We are thankful for the great support we receive for our GP Ice Race from citizens of Zell am See and local authorities like our first premium partner, the Tourist Office Zell am See-Kaprun. Therefore, we would like to give something back and decided to support a social project with the proceeds of a Charity Ice Karting race. For the entry fee of 500 Euro, everybody can enter the race with specially prepared ice karts and compete against race drivers and celebrities like former Formula One driver Hans-Joachim Stuck. Proceeds will be donated to Lebenshilfe organisation in Zell,“ emphasizes Ferdinand Porsche.
The ice-cold drives are available for 500 Euro and can as well be purchased for a third person. During the races on Saturday and Sunday, the special guests of “Lebenshilfe”, a social institution which supports handicapped persons, will cross the fingers for all competitors. The number of charity entries is limited to 15 per race (30 in total). Applications and reservations can be done per mail to GPIceRace@punktEins.de
